PRP for hair loss

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair loss is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a person’s own blood to promote hair growth.

The "Medical Plasma" Facial

The PRP facial can be beneficial to people who have wrinkles, sun damage, or scars. By placing PRP back into the skin, cell proliferation is encouraged.

The Medical Plasma Facial

Nonsurgical, all natural Anti-ageing & Skin Rejuvenation

  • return to work the same day
  • allows the whole face and neck to be treated in a single session
  • none – invasive, no anaesthetic or scalpels needed
  • significant cost saving compared to surgical treatments

We are excited to announce that we now can offer the innovative and revolutionary new plasma facelift treatment. This non-invasive procedure is the ideal choice for facials, non-surgical eye lifts, anti-ageing and acne treatments using the power of your own plasma

Why plasma?

Not everyone is ready or willing to have surgery to gain a more useful appearance, which is why the plasma lift is the perfect alternative.

It has a long lasting with results still visible a year after your first treatment making you feel young and renewed with no side effects or recovery time.

The plasma facial can treat sagging jowls, age spots, fine lines, acne scarring, active acne, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, stretch marks, ageing of the hands and ageing of the neck and chest area.

How does it work?

The plasma facial changes the make-up of the skin, encouraging new collagen and elastin fibres to grow. Collagen is what makes your skin elastic and less prone to lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing such as sagging.

What’s amazing about this procedure is that it doesn’t take any more than 60 – 90 minutes for the full face to be done and even less time for the sagging eyes and ageing hands.

The final results from a PRP facial can last from about 12 to 18 months. I recommend three sets dermapen PRP, one per month for three months, to prolong the effects.

The Medical Plasma Facial Procedure

1. The Blood Draw.

The blood is drawn painlessly from the arm using the latest vacuum technology blood collection sets.

  2. Facial Preparation.

The face is cleaned and given lymphatic massage to prepare the skin for the application of platelet rich plasma

3. Centrifuging The Blood.

The blood is centrifuged at 3500 revs/minute for 12 minutes to gently harvest the “magic” in your platelet rich plasma.

4. Injecting the Plasma

The plasma is injected using ultrasound guidance to avoid damage to blood vessels and bruising.

5. Facial Dermapen

The remaining plasma is “pushed” under the skin with a special pen which revitalises skin tone and texture.

6. Final Cleansing.

Again the face is cleansed and the beauty technician will advise on which facial cosmetics can be used following the facelift.

What are the benefits of a Medical Plasma Facelift?

Benefits of  include:

  • Less pain and a shorter recovery time than a traditional surgical facelift.
  • Fewer possible risks than surgery.
  • Quicker results than with a traditional facelift.
  • Feeling more confident about your appearance.

And of course it is totally natural using only your own blood components.

complications that can occur when looking for a cheap facelift from unlicensed practitioners.

This patient received forehead filler from an unlicensed practitioner. After treatment the patient experienced:

  • severe headaches
  • swelling
  • redness
  • and significant pain

The practitioner that injected the filler agreed there was a problem and tried to dissolve the filler but with little success.

When she presented at the clinic there was significant swelling in the glabella (the area above the nose to the top of the forehead).

These symptoms have been present for two months since the facelift and has significantly affected her emotionally so she decided to seek a resolution to the problem.

Using ultrasound in the Doppler colour mode we are able to see blood vessels in the forehead of this patient. The black areas seen scattered in the tissue are areas of injected filler. These can be identified as pockets of filler which does not show up as blood vessels on the Doppler colour ultrasound.

The needle is inserted, as seen on the video, until it reaches the areas of filler and hyaluronidase is injected to dissolve the filler.

The patient was asked to wait for one hour until the lumps on the forehead that disappeared and she was pain free.

This is why it is necessary to use ultrasound not only in the placement of PRP to avoid blood vessels but also in the management of removing poorly placed filler.
